Practice
Work on these lines up red songs, then yellow, least recently played first. Pick a tune draws at random, weighted toward what needs work. Still got it? asks about green songs you have not played in 60 days.The app never changes a rating on its own. It asks; you decide.
Setlists
Ordered songs with a per-song key and note, a gig date, and a readiness bar: how many green, yellow, and red, and the days left. Share a set with one link; a bandmate imports it into their own account and rates it themselves.
Player
Plays a set straight through. Your own recordings get a tempo control from 50 to 150 percent with the pitch held, and an A/B loop for the hard bar. YouTube and Spotify play embedded today; Apple Music in-app playback arrives at launch. Open in Apple Music, Spotify, or YouTube is always one tap away.
Files
Charts, lead sheets, recordings, and click tracks attached to the song. PDF, audio, and images. 5 GB on Pro.
Streaming links
Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, Deezer, Pandora, SoundCloud, and YouTube, in the order you choose.Links resolved through Songlink where an exact match exists.
Import
CSV from anywhere today. Apple Music, Tidal, and YouTube playlists at launch. A preview shows the matches before anything is added; songs you already have keep their rating.
Offline
The list, search, queue, random pick, and rating all run on the device. Changes sync when a signal returns, and the same account works on iOS, Android, and the web.
Sign in
Apple, Google, or an emailed code. No password to remember. Delete the account and everything in it from inside the app.
Accessibility
WCAG 2.2 AA. No rating is shown by color alone. Targets are 48 points or larger, and the actions that matter sit low on the screen.

Not on the sheet

What it does not do, and why, so nobody finds out after signing up.

  • Spotify import or playback

    Spotify closed its API to new apps in 2026. Spotify still works as a link on every song, and a Spotify playlist arrives through a CSV export from tools like TuneMyMusic or Soundiiz.

  • Tempo or pitch on streamed audio

    Every streaming service forbids it. Tempo and loops work on recordings you upload, which is where practice happens anyway.

  • Charts and lyrics display

    Attach your PDF and open it in one tap. Know the Tune is not a chart editor and does not plan to become one.

  • Band-shared repertoire

    Today each person keeps their own ratings. Shared band lists, where everyone rates the same songs, are on the list for later.

  • A light theme

    Dark only at launch. It is built for dim rooms and stages. A light table is a token swap away if people ask.
